Modify Target System Attributes

IDhub allows you to modify the target system attributes to meet your specific business scenarios. In this document we would elaborate how you can modify the attributes of your application.

How to modify Target System Attributes

  • Go to ‘Manage Catalog' in the Admin Module of IDHub using the credentials of a user that has the role of 'System Administrator' with them. To learn more about IDHub roles, click here
  • Upon reaching Manage Catalog, click on the edit icon of the application for which you want to edit the attributes.
  • Click on the next button at the bottom of the edit application wizard and you will land up in the attribute section.

Modifying Attributes for Application

  • In the right hand side of attributes section of the Edit Application Wizard, IDHub will show the list of already added attributes for the application. Click on the Edit icon of the attribute which you want to edit.

  • Upon clicking on the edit icon, the information of the attributes would come in the left hand side and you can do the required modifications of the attribute as you see fit.

  • You can set or modify the sync direction for the attribute

  • For each attribute, you have the option to make that as required (or not), account name field, multi-value and recon key as per the attribute configuration of the target system.

  • In the case of a connected application, there will be a “Fetch Attributes" link at the top right corner of the page. Clicking on that link, IDHub will fetch all the attributes from the target system to IDHub automatically.

    • This configuration is highly specific to the target system (application) from which the attributes are fetched. IDHub allows you to set the configuration of the attributes for the application as per your need.

note

If there is no corresponding IDHub field related to the target system attribute, IDHub allows you to create a custom user attribute and map that target system attribute to that IDHub custom field accordingly.

Removing Attributes

You can remove any attributes if you don’t need them, by clicking on the remove icon in the right hand side of Attribute section of the Edit Application Wizard
